Hi guys! My name is Celine, a teacher from Overseas Education Department. I graduated from University of New South Wales in Australia, majoring in Public Relations and Advertising.
I’m outgoing and open-minded. I have broad interests, such as singing and dancing. When I was an undergraduate student, I have won a third prize in a singing competition, and a fourth prize in a crew dancing battle.
Previously, I thought learning English was in order to cope with exams. However, during my overseas study, I changed my mind. I worked part time as a conference and exhibition communicator in an Australian organization. English was the only tool to communicate with people from different culture background. Besides, as a student, I found that there were a great number of materials and literature recorded merely in English. Having the ability to read them means you could communicate with the ancient wisdom, and therefore shapes a better way you thinking.
Hence, I realized that learning English is not simply for passing exams. It is more for communication. In addition, as Goethe said, “Those who know nothing of foreign languages know nothing of their own.”. Learning English contributes to a better understanding of our own language and culture.
All in all, learning English has a hundred merits and not a single demerit. Because English is a key to open a door leading to a broader world. Come on and join us! I can’t wait to introduce you a wider world!
